Organization

The Mechanical Engineering Department (DEM) is organized in seven Scientific Areas:

• Environment and Energy
• Control, Automation and Industrial Informatics
• Aerospace and Computational Mechanics
  
• Mechanical Design and Structural Materials
• Structural and Computational Mechanics
• Manufacturing and Industrial Managment
• Termofluids and Energy Conversion Technologies

This organization reflects the teaching and research interests in the department. The department also have several teaching and research laboratories as well as computer facilities.
