The welcome Reception, hosted by the City Counsil, will be held at the Lisbon City Museum.
In this museum, the history of Lisbon since ancient times until the 19th century is described. It is housed in an 18th century palace (Palácio Pimenta) built during the reign of king D. João V of Portugal. The museum has paintings, watercolours, tile panels, historical documents and even a model of the city of Lisbon before the destruction caused by the 1755 earthquake.
