Description:
Inverse problems provide a framework to indirectly derive information about some physical system, by using observed measurements of some other quantities. Many practical engineering applications require researchers, engineers and analysts to solve such inverse problem, either as their main problem of interest or as an intermediate problem. This MS serves as a platform to present and discuss theoretical analysis, numerical strategies and practical applications of inverse problems in the various engineering disciplines. A broad scope of contributions to the field of inverse problems will be considered, ranging from mathematical analysis of inverse problems to experimental case studies. Papers focusing on the ill-posed nature of inverse problems are particularly welcome, since this feature is ubiquitous in inverse problems.
